SESSIONS
All session bookings are to be made using the automated system on my website. Currently sessions are being conducted over Zoom. A Zoom invitation will be sent automatically upon your booking being confirmed. Sessions will last between 60 – 120 minutes.
If you need to reschedule please let me know as soon as possible. If you are running late for your session, please contact me by text to let me know.
Due to scheduling of other clients I mayl need to finish your session on time so if you do arrive late your session may be shortened to accommodate this.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
For most people, hypnotherapy is a pleasant, gentle, and extremely safe experience. However, your safety is my number one concern and there are occasions where hypnosis
would be contraindicated. That means there may be a risk.
I cannot work with you if you have a diagnosis of: Psychosis, Schizophrenia, Pathological Personalities or Senility.
I may be able to work with you if you have epilepsy, suffered from seizures, narcolepsy, asthma, or a heart condition but will require your doctor’s approval.
I will need to know before our session if you are on any psychoactive medication
If you have any medical condition, please ask your doctor to give their approval before confirming your booking with me.
PHYSICAL CONTACT
Should we work in a face to face situation, occasionally some interventions require direct touch e.g. lifting a wrist. I will always ask your permission and explain exactly what and where the physical contact will occur prior to every occurrence. You may choose for us to work together entirely without touch; if you would prefer to do so, please let me know at the beginning of the session.
COSTS
All sessions fees and any incidental costs are to be paid upon booking unless otherwise agreed. No booking will be considered as confirmed until payment is received. Paying for your booking will imply acceptance of these terms and conditions in their totality.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If I am unable to keep an appointment, I will give you as much notice as possible and offer an alternative appointment.
You can reschedule or cancel up to 48 hours before the session.
Please give me as much notice as possible for the cancellation. For cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice the full fee will be payable.
If you are late for your appointment we will still need to finish by the allotted time.
If you arrive for treatment under the influence of mind-altering drugs or alcohol, the session will be suspended, and the full fee charged. Further sessions will be at the therapist’s discretion and may be cancelled permanently.
If I think you would benefit from being referred to another therapist or specialist, we will agree to make the referral as soon as possible.
I reserve the right to cancel therapy at any time and to refuse prospective clients at my own discretion.
CONFIDENTIALITY
Although hypnosis is mainly content free, you may entrust me with information about yourself, confidentiality is an essential core element of my service.
I may take our work to my supervisor. Supervision is in itself a confidential and respectful process (your personal details i.e. your name and address are not discussed in supervision).
If I have any concern for safety, yours or another’s, then I may have to breach confidentiality but would endeavour to discuss my concerns with you before taking any action.
ENDINGS
Endings are an important part of our therapeutic journey as they can often raise issues for people. When you are ready to finish our work, we will discuss and plan for a good and healthy ending. This should include attending for a final session together where we review your toolkit and progress.

I am bound by the Codes of Ethics and Practice of the Jacquin Professional Hypnotherapy Association (JPHA). A copy of the code of practice and ethics are available on request, or may be viewed here.
